How to Recharge After a Workout

Creating a stable workout routine is absolutely essential if you want to live a healthy lifestyle. Whether you enjoy running, yoga, spin, or something else, getting out there and working out is one of the best things you can do for your body! Since I'm working on making exercise a huge part of my everyday life, I wanted to share how I recharge after a workout. Keep reading for a tasty recipe and more about my favorite post-workout drink, Aquafina Sparkling from Target!


Stretch it out

After a good workout, stretching is the perfect way to wind down and take care of your body. Lucky for me, one of my favorite ways to workout is by doing yoga, and yoga already involves a ton of stretching! I do, however, love to take some time after my workout to really stretch out my muscles to avoid soreness the next day.


Hydrate

One of the most important things to do after working out is to hydrate, hydrate, and hydrate some more. I either like to drink water or sparkling water. My favorite sparkling water to drink after a workout is the Aquafina Sparkling from Target!

Make a healthy snack

Working out can take a lot out of you, so it's important to nourish your body with a variety of healthy foods after exercising. One of my favorite things to eat after a workout is a delicious salad. I wanted to share one of my favorite post workout salads to pair with Aquafina Sparkling!

I don't know about you, but after a workout I never quite feel like cooking something elaborate. That's why I usually opt for this incredibly simple and delicious spinach salad! It takes less than 5 minutes to make and it's SO good!

What you'll need:

The salad:
2 cups of baby spinach
1/2 of a cucumber (sliced)
5 cherry tomatoes
1/2 of an avocado
1/4 cup of dried cranberries

Dressing:
1 tablespoon of honey
1 tablespoon of dijon mustard


Instructions:

1. Chop up the avocado and cucumber.

2. Add the honey and dijon mustard into a small bowl and mix together.

4. Add the cucumber, avocado, and tomatoes to a bowl of baby spinach.

5. Drizzle of honey dijon mustard dressing over the salad.

Voila!
