Goodbye, Sophomore Year

Another year of college in the book and I'm not going to lie, it's a little freaky. Just the other day I realized that I'm literally halfway done with college. I always thought I'd look forward to college going by quickly so I could get started with my career, but now with sophomore year behind me, I'm starting to realize that I don't want this to end! I wanted to share some of the biggest moments (in no particular order) of sophomore year for me, and reflect a bit on the year as a whole. Enjoy!

This year...

I really got into blogging.

While I started my blog over a year ago, I wasn't super into it for awhile. During sophomore year though, I created social media accounts for my blog, began doing sponsored posts, and created a weekly posting schedule. I renamed my blog, I redesigned my blog, and I made it into something that I'm truly proud to share with others. And for that I am so thankful!

I found my best friends.

I've always been someone who has a smaller group of friends. I believe in having a few people that you're really close with, rather than a bunch of friends that you don't really know that well. During sophomore year I can truly say that I found my best friends in the entire world (missing them already since we're home for summer! Shoutout Ana and Jess ;) ). We're living together next year in an apartment on campus and I couldn't be more excited!

I celebrated 3 years with my other best friend, my boyfriend!

I rarely talk about my personal life on my blog, but I would definitely like to include you guys in more of the things going on in my life. I never thought people would be interested, and I'm still blown away when I receive questions about myself, because I didn't think my readers had any interest in learning more about ME! I've definitely mentioned it before, but I've been dating Zach since our junior year of high school. We've been together for 3 and a half years and he is truly my best friend.

I really loved all of my classes.

Sophomore year was awesome because after completing all my general education requirements, I got to take classes that I really wanted to take (particularly spring semester). My professors were phenomenal, and I learned more than I ever thought my brain could comprehend. It was weird, because I actually didn't mind studying or doing my work because it was all stuff that was important to me.

I got an awesome internship for the summer.

Okay, I haven't technically started my summer internship yet, but during sophomore year I applied for an internship that I never thought I would get, and I ended up getting it! It taught me that if you want something, go for it.

I became to the Co-President and Campus Correspondent for URI's chapter of Her Campus.

This is another recent event, but I recently applied with another girl to be Co-Campus Correspondents for our university's chapter of Her Campus. The chapter was inactive for a semester, so we have to completely relaunch the chapter. We will be working on that over the summer and into the fall to get things up and running again! I will be updating you guys and sharing the link to the chapter's page when it's up if you want to check it out!

I'm so happy!

Maybe it's a bit silly, but I had a great year and I just feel so happy and fulfilled going into summer. I can't wait to see what this summer and the last two years of college are going to bring. Thank you all for following my blog and showing interest in my life! It means the world to me.

Who has fun plans for the summer?!
