BH Cosmetics Carli Bybel Palette Review and Swatches

After hearing good things about the Carli Bybel Palette, I decided to pick it up and see for myself! This palette is extremely affordable ($14.50?!), but it definitely compares to higher end palettes. I've watched Carli Bybel on YouTube for quite some time so I knew that anything she put her name on had to be good! Here's an in-depth review of the Carli Bybel Eyeshadow and Highlighter Palette:

Packaging

The cute packaging was obviously the first thing I noticed about the palette. There's a mirror on the inside cover, so that's always nice to have. I absolutely love the quilted pattern on the front, and the white and silver theme throughout the packaging makes everything look so nice. On the inside under the mirror, it says "Aspire to inspire", and I just love that! It's also definitely lightweight and travel friendly.

Pigmentation

From the moment that I first swatched the shadows, I knew I was going to be obsessed with this palette. The colors are so pigmented, and there's a mix of matte and shimmery shades, which is always nice to have in an eyeshadow palette. The shadows seriously feel like butter, and they blend so seamlessly.

Top Row

The top row is mostly cool-toned shadows, and consists of 3 matte shades and 2 shimmery shades. The 3rd shade from the left is one of my favorite transition shades, and I love to apply the last two to the outer "v" of my eye to darken it up. The 1st shade is a great shade for under the brow bone or the inner corners of the  eye. I like to apply the 2nd shade to the lid, because it's gorgeous shimmery copper shade, and I always like those types of colors on the lid.

Middle Row

The middle row consists of some gorgeous warmer tones. I absolutely love all the shimmery shades for the lid, and the 1st cream shade is a great brow bone highlight shade. I particularly love placing the 2nd shade on the lid and using the 4th shade to deepen the crease a bit.

Last Row

The last row is 4 amazing highlight shades. I've been obsessed with the Mary Lou-Manizer for way too long, and I wanted to try something new, so I was so glad that this palette came with a few highlight shades that I could try out. My favorite highlight shade is the 2nd shade. Obviously, the last two shades are WAY too dark for me to highlight with, but they're great colors to apply to the lid!

Overall thoughts:

Overall, I really love this palette. I was really impressed with the pigmentation and color selection in the palette. I'm also definitely a fan of the price. I feel like when YouTubers create makeup palettes or products they can get a bit expensive, and I think they could have charged a lot more for this palette, but chose not to. It's definitely worth the $14 dollars, and I would highly, highly recommend picking up this palette to add to your collection! It's become one of my favorites.
